What is an IV drip?
An IV drip, or intravenous infusion, delivers fluid directly into a vein through a thin, flexible tube called a cannula. At vFlow, a drip contains sterile fluid and, depending on the formulation, vitamins or minerals. It is prepared only after a health screening and given by a trained practitioner using sterile, single-use equipment.

Which IV drip is right for me?
That is a clinical decision, not a menu choice. You can tell us what you are interested in, but a clinician reviews your health screening, medications and history before confirming whether a drip is suitable, and which one. Common drip types differ mainly in what they contain, as outlined below.
Hydration drip
A bag of sterile IV fluid, such as saline or a balanced electrolyte solution.
Popular for hydration and rehydration after travel, training or a busy week.
Multivitamin drip
IV fluid with a blend of water-soluble vitamins, typically B vitamins and vitamin C.
Chosen to support energy and immune function.
Myers' cocktail
A long-established formulation of magnesium, calcium, B vitamins and vitamin C in IV fluid.
The classic all-rounder, chosen to support energy and recovery.
Vitamin C drip
A higher dose of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) diluted in IV fluid.
Chosen to support immune function and skin.
Magnesium drip
Magnesium, usually as magnesium sulphate, diluted in IV fluid.
Chosen to support relaxation and muscle function.
NAD+ drip
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, a coenzyme found in the body, given slowly over a longer infusion.
Popular with people interested in energy, focus and healthy ageing.
Glutathione
A tripeptide made from three amino acids, given on its own or added to a drip at the end of an infusion.
Popular for antioxidant support and skin.

How much does an IV drip cost?
IV drips at vFlow currently start from £119. The price depends on the drip you choose and what it contains. You pay a deposit when you book to secure your appointment, and the balance is due on the day after your suitability check. Prices can change, and your exact price is always shown before you pay.
Is an IV drip safe?
Every IV drip carries some risk, such as bruising, discomfort or, rarely, infection or a reaction, so we treat it as a clinical procedure. You complete a health screening, a clinician checks your suitability, and your practitioner runs final checks before anything is prepared. We may decline treatment, and refund your deposit in full if so.
You will be asked for informed consent before treatment and can stop at any time. If you have a medical condition or take regular medication, speak to your GP first.
Where can I get an IV drip?
You can book an IV drip at our Preston clinic in Lancashire, or as a mobile session across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and the wider North West. Mobile sessions need a suitable, clean setting and depend on practitioner availability. Choose your location when you book and we will confirm what is possible.
IV drip questions
How long does an IV drip take?
It depends on the drip. Some formulations run for longer than others, and you should also allow time for your suitability check and consent. The expected duration is shown on each treatment before you book, and your practitioner will confirm it on the day.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. Every IV drip is booked in advance. You pay a deposit to secure your appointment, complete an online health screening, and pay the balance on the day after your suitability check.
What happens if I am not suitable for an IV drip?
A clinician reviews your health screening and runs final checks before anything is prepared. If they decide a drip is not right for you, treatment will not go ahead and your deposit is refunded in full.
Can I cancel or move my appointment?
Yes. You can cancel or reschedule free of charge with at least the notice period shown when you book and in your confirmation email. With less notice, the deposit may be kept to cover the clinician time reserved for you. Our booking terms have the full details.
Who can have an IV drip with vFlow?
Our treatments are for adults aged 18 or over who pass a health screening and suitability check. We may decline treatment on clinical grounds. IV drips are not a substitute for medical advice, so speak to your GP about any health concerns.
